“Little Friends Athens” is a section of pithelo.com run by Sotirios Goulas.

No cookies, no ad tracking

We don't set cookies or run ads. We use cookieless Cloudflare Web Analytics for page counts. Your language choice is kept in your browser's local storage only.

Hosting and map

Pages are served by Cloudflare Workers. The map loads tiles from OpenStreetMap's servers, which see your IP address like any website you visit.

"Suggest a place"

We store what you send (place details, links, notes, your email if you give one), your consent and the date, in a Cloudflare D1 database. Nothing is published automatically; we check and may edit it first. Your email is only used to ask about your suggestion and is never published.

Spam protection

Forms have a hidden honeypot field, and we keep a short-lived per-minute counter keyed by a one-way hash of your IP address. We don't store the IP itself.

Newsletter

The signup form is provided by Beehiiv. When you subscribe, Beehiiv stores and processes your email address to send the newsletter. You can unsubscribe any time with the link at the bottom of every email.

Affiliate links

There are no affiliate links today. If added, they will be labelled and this page updated first.

Deletion

To remove a suggestion or your email, write to info@pithelo.com.
